New ‘Suicide Squad’ Image Proves Nothing Scares Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn

The Joker is no laughing matter, but she has plenty of backup, not to mention a baseball bat
Warner Bros. has released a new image from David Ayer‘s “Suicide Squad,” featuring a group shot of the titular antiheroes.

Margot Robbie‘s bat-wielding Harley Quinn stands beside Katana (Karen Fukuhara) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) in the foreground, while the back row consists of Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman) and Deadshot (Will Smith).

That’s a lot of star power, and we’re not even counting Jared Leto‘s Joker or Ben Affleck‘s Batman, who will do battle five months after Affleck debuts as the Caped Crusader in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Common, Adam Beach, Jim Parrack and David Harbour co-star in “Suicide Squad,” and we haven’t even learned the true identities of the characters played by Scott Eastwood and Ike Barinholtz.

“Suicide Squad” hits theaters on Aug. 5 and the latest image from the film debuted inUSA Today (hat tip: Batman-News.com). A new trailer will debut later this month.
