Somebody Finally Won the Powerball Jackpot

Mere minutes after the winning Powerball numbers for the world’slargest ever lottery jackpot of $1.5 billion were announced Wednesday night, the California Lottery said that it had sold a winning ticket.

According to a tweet from the state lottery’s official account, the lucky ticket — bearing the winning numbers 4, 8, 19, 27, 34 and 10 — was sold in the state’s Chino Hills neighborhood, a suburb of Los Angeles located in San Bernardino County.

Although other states are still declaring their results, the news the entire country has been waiting for with bated breath is confirmed: somebody just won the jackpot.
